Mega Pick 'n Save and Express
The first Pick 'n Save was a warehouse foods store opened on March 25, 1975 on Calhoun and Bluemound Roads in Brookfield, a suburb of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The immense popularity of the "warehouse" format, where customers chose items from cartons in warehouse racking and used crayons for pricemarking, was evident in the parking lot that was jammed for days. Local police were called in to direct traffic leading to and from the store as employees worked to keep racking full. Soon after, Pick 'n Save became the first Wisconsin retailer to put checkout scanners into operation.
The warehouse concept evolved into the high-service, beautifully-outfitted stores of today that continue to bring value to our shoppers. Now there are 95 Pick 'n Save stores in Wisconsin and Illinois. Pick 'n Save stores offer a variety of quality products in a number of departments, including produce, bakery, deli, frozen foods, dairy and health and beauty. Pick 'n Save prides itself on the diversity, selection and availability of brand name items, as well as the variety of Roundy's own brand products at their stores. Pick 'n Save party planning is also available to customers and offers floral services, balloons, decorated cakes and party trays. Pick 'n Save strives to bring their customers the best value and unmatched service. www.picknsave.com
